The entire weekend will feature full-length and film shorts from African and African-American filmmakers locally and nationally. Here’s some of the highlights at this year’s festival.

Opening night of #GIBFF2019 is Friday, Oct. 11, and features the motion picture, ‘Truth’ written and directed by filmmaker, director, writer, producer, and Gary native, Charles Murray. ‘Truth’ is about a journalist who, after his cousin commits suicide, he investigates why she takes her own life, and the people held responsible.
